Direct entry to the university

If a student has sufficient grades at school and a school certificate equivalent to the German examination (such as A-level or IB), has attended the university in their country for 4 semesters or has a bachelor’s degree, they can enter university directly after completing the required German level: C1 TestDaF. After completing the required German level, students can begin their Bachelor’s or Master’s programs.

Foundation Year

If the students have only a general secondary exam or an equivalent (not equivalent to the German university entrance requirement such as A-levels), they will need to do a foundation year before being accepted into the university. The required German entry level for most of the foundation year (Studienkolleg) courses is now B2. Students can reach this level within 30 weeks, 30 lessons each.
